What We Do
Our vision is the future where diseases of the womb are fully researched and health is promoted.
Education
It is essential for women and healthcare professionals to know more about womb diseases, including womb cancer, to improve early diagnosis. We work with women via group workshops, training, face-to-face events and information material in order to increase their knowledge and raise awareness. During our Study Days healthcare professionals are able to update their symptoms knowledge, which should help refer women for diagnostic tests at the earliest stages.
Medical Research
Available clinical trials and supporting research funding for womb cancer have fallen behind other cancers. We support translational research and directly fund clinical studies initiated by research scientists and healthcare professionals.
Community
Community is the family that goes beyond family. It is the people and places that we come in contact with each and every day. When we strengthen communities, we strengthen individuals. From answering questions, providing access to experts, giving information on preventative measures and treatment options, and finding women going through womb diseases to talk to, Womb Research UK provides through organising events, groups and individual meetings.
Our Programs
We want to ensure that every woman knows the steps she can take to reduce the risk of developing womb diseases and cancer.
This year we are organising support sessions and activities, Awareness Days and educational workshops, to ensure that as many as possible women are symptom-aware and fully understand the importance of preventing womb diseases.
We perform research on the relationship between lifestyle and womb health.
We extend, increase and disseminate knowledge of womb health and disease acquired as a result of the research to others through publications and public presentations.
We are working on studies, which are aimed to improve standards of care and treatment for women.
